first day-4

public phone in new caledonia.

the first day was actually not that fine day.
at that time, i was not that happy about that.
but come to think about it,
the day was kind of heaven.

you know from the next day,
the sun shine was killing us...

the supermarket called "casino"
the price there was quite expensive.
we did not like that actually...

the ship which came from australia.
i could feel that this country was so close to
australia in many occasions.
i really liked to find some thing about australia there.

the view from the hotel room we stay.
that was quite nice view :)

first day-3

first day-2

on the street i saw the wind surfing gear.
first time i saw this,
i decided myself that
"ive got to do this."

first day

arrived at the numea international airport.
that was really hot and nice.
the sky was quite blue.

i really liked that.

getting off the stairs.

and guys waiting for us to leave.

blue sky at the airport.

from the airport we arrived at the numea city.
you know,
everywhere we see cocoanut palm.

nouvelle caledonie

i had a 5 days visit to new caledonia with
someone who-must-not-be-named (not Lord Voldemort).

actually it was byond my description.
so i dont think i should describe the trip here with a few word.

you know,
for japanese people, new caledonia is known as
"the island closest to heaven"

this is because the famous felame nobelist "katsura moriyama"
wrote the book "天国に一番近い島(the island closest to heaven)" and
described this beautiful country.

why did she describe new caledonia in this way?
that is because of the story her father once told her.

you row your dogout on and on,
and you will find the island made of coral
at the edge of the earth.
that is the closest place to where god lives.

when there is someone who needs god,
he once clime down to the island and ask the islanders
to get a canue under way.
and with it, he comes to japan and visit america.

so for the god
does not get hurt when he jumps off from heaven,
carpet of flowers spread all around the island.

and the island is always bright and warm
because it is so close to heaven.

the islanders there are always happy because
they can meet god as much as theywant

to some extent i can understnad what her father talked about.
i really liked the beaches and the clour of the sky.

on the top of that, i could have so many interesting "first-times"

and i took literally hundreds of pictures.

therefore, i think i am going to create this blog
putting photos and some description of new caledonia.

i hope you will like this.

cheers,
